Annual Leavers’ Concert to take place

Our annual Leavers’ Concert is due to take place Thursday April 3rd with a stunning programme planned.  

The current Year 13 students are an amazing musical group and this is their final chance to perform here at Colyton. The programme is varied and includes from, among other items: The Schumann and Grieg Piano Concertos, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.23, the Stanford Clarinet Concerto, Faure’s Elegie, the Dvorak ‘American’ Quartet, Shostakovich Dances, Franz Strauss music for French Horn and chamber music by Vivaldi, Crusell and Mendelssohn.  

We will also be treated to a world premier (!), the Jazz Band, Cello Quartet, Chamber Choir, Senior Choir and Sax Quartet, as well as music from a Year 13 band and a solo for electric guitar using loop pedals.  

The evening begins at 7pm in the Cottrill Hall with interval refreshments available. Tickets cost £5 and £1, and are available to purchase on ParentPay. Please do come and support, especially if you have younger children for it will be an inspirational night for them.
