Students perform in music recital

12 pupils played solos in Mrs Greenwood’s Cello Recital, also taking part were the Cello Quartet (with accompanying SATB chorus) and the Cello Ensemble. It was fantastic to hear performers from years 7 to 13 taking part, well done to all.  

Our next concert will be the finals of the House Music Competition (6pm, Wed March 26) and the Leavers’ Concert (7pm, Thu April 3). Both will see an astonishing range and talent on display and will feature music ranging from Chopin Etudes to 20th Century jazz-inspired Shostakovich, to the Blues, and as far as concerti by Grieg, Schumann and Vivaldi and choral music from Purcell and Rachmaninov.
