The Colyton U16 Girls Rugby Team had the exciting opportunity to travel to London to compete in the prestigious Rosslyn Park National Sevens Tournament—marking the first time the school has fielded a girls' team at this renowned event.

With many players experiencing competitive sevens rugby for the first time, there were naturally some nerves. Yet, as the tournament unfolded, it was clear to see how the team’s confidence grew with each match. Their resilience and determination shone through as they adapted to the fast-paced and physical demands of the game.

Despite the tough competition, the girls maintained their focus and played with pride, displaying excellent character and sportsmanship.

We are incredibly proud of the girls, who not only represented Colyton with distinction but also demonstrated remarkable teamwork and grit throughout. Looking ahead, we’re excited to build on the solid foundation established at this year’s tournament. The lessons learned and the confidence gained will undoubtedly fuel their growth as individuals and as a team. We can’t wait to return next year with an even more experienced and confident team.
