Students compete in Devon Schools Ski Championship
BackNews - Dec 10
Our newly formed Colyton Grammar School Ski team competed in their first Devon Schools Ski Championship last month. This annual competition, held on the Torquay Dry Sky Slopes, is open to all schools in Devon, this year consisted of 36 school teams.
Our team, made up of Year 13 student Sian P, Ollie P from Year 10 and William H from Year 7 performed admirably, with all three winning individual silver medals in their age categories.
Better than that, working together as a team to help and advise each other on the course layout, equipment and technique, their consistency meant that Colyton won the overall competition, claiming the trophy and beating teams who have competed at the event with larger squads then ours for many years.
Well done Sian, Ollie and Will.
