News - Oct 9

Our Rugby teams have been busy lately, playing multiple games.

Our Under 15 team travelled to Clyst Vale for their first fixture of the year, getting off to a strong start dominating possession and territory. But ultimately, they struggled to convert that into points and finished the first half 12-5. Clyst Vale came out strong following the break scoring the first try of the half making it 12-10. This woke us up and we started to play some brilliant rugby, creating and utilising overlaps, running hard with the ball and breaking the gain line which enabled the team to take the score to a comfortable 31-10 win. Well done to all involved.

It was a great start to the year for our Under 14 team, who were the runaway winners in a game against Sidmouth. A great display of attacking rugby, with excellent link up play from the backs and forwards to score multiple full pitch length tries. We look forward to our next game against Exeter School in the Devon Cup.

After making their way through the traffic in Ottery, our Under 13s made it to the Kings School where they played two games against Honiton and Exmouth. It was a good first hit out for the team, drawing with Honiton and narrowly losing to a strong Exmouth side. Both games showed great signs of promise, and the boys have been working hard in training on their defence. We look forward to the next game later in the term against Clyst Vale.
