Travelling to St Peter’s, our rounders teams from Year 8 and Year 10 played a friendly fixture. The under 13s team started well taking the lead after the first innings. Despite some excellent batting from Mabel S and consistent bowling from Issy W and Katie H, the eventual score was 15-14 ½ to St Peter’s.
The under 15 team were up against a strong side who made some excellent catches. Lily C took some catches of her own and Josie W performed well at backstop. St Peter’s went on to win 15 – 8 1/2. There is lots to build on moving forward as the season progresses.
Our Year 7 and Year 8 teams each had two games against our local rivals, Woodroffe. The Year 7 team won both their games and the Year 8 team lost their first game but learnt from their mistakes, making changes and winning their second match. This was a great afternoon of rounders in Lyme Regis, and our girls have more matches to look forward to.
