Professor Mark Stoyle visits Colyton Grammar School

We were delighted to welcome Professor Mark Stoyle who is an expert on Tudor and Stuart Britain. Professor Stoyle has written a book on The Western Rising of 1549 in which the people of Devon and Cornwall rose up in rebellion against the introduction of Edward VI’s new prayer book. 

The talk provided a valuable insight into this topic and wider period providing a brilliant experience for our GCSE and A Level History students.
