Last week saw Colyton Grammar’s first ever Giving Day take place, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part and donated on these days.

On Thursday, we were joined by two members of the Exeter Chiefs Rugby squad, Sam Maunder and Jack Dunne.  Jack and Sam exemplified our school values of humility and service as they worked with students in PE lessons, played chess against the students at lunch, played a presenter role in the House University Challenge competition. Jack also spoke about his degree in Physics and his love for the subject. Both players provided living evidence of the value in taking part and developing a love in a range of activities.

Students also took part in a Colyton Giving Day Quiz during registration, shared what they are grateful for on our gratitude tree, took part in our Shakespeare-a-thon and donned their house colours in a celebration of belonging.

A big thank you for getting into the spirit of things to Mr Gosling, Mr L Rowe, Mr Davidson, Miss Bayley, Miss Paviour and Mrs Bean who took on our staff ice bucket challenge.

Over the two day period, we were delighted to receive many lovely messages from students, friends, parents and alumni about the school, and we are proud to announce that an incredible £43,000 has been raised so far.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support.
