Author Matt Dickinson gives talk to students

On Friday 22nd March we were lucky enough to have author, filmmaker, explorer and Everest summiteer Matt Dickinson visit the school. He started the day with an inspiring talk delivered to our Year 12 Geography students, detailing his trips to Everest, Antarctica, and the Amazon, highlighting points of geographical interest. He then delivered a writing workshop to Year 9 students before his gripping talk to our Year 7 and 8 students who hung on his every word as he talked about his filmmaking with Bear Grylls and his Everest experiences. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Matt for a fantastic day – we have lots of inspired students now reading his Everest Files series!
