Students take part in Oxford University Computing Challenge
BackNews - Feb 6
Last month, 194 of our students took part in the Oxford University Computing Challenge. This is an invite-only challenge and in order to qualify, students have to be in the top 10% of entrants to the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. This gives students a series of very demanding programming tasks and this is something for which students have to prepare. Therefore, simply qualifying and taking part demonstrates great scholarship.
Despite this being such a tough challenge, we have a number of students who achieved very high scores.
Merits are awarded to students to achieve between 25 and 39 points (about 7% of those who enter the challenge). A number of our students achieved this.

Furthermore, James L achieved 100% in the first round of the Oxford University Computing Challenge.
