Under 15 boys football team play against Plymouth in Devon Cup

It was a busy start to the new year for our Under 15 football team as the boys travelled to Plymouth to play in the Devon Cup.
Braving the conditions and a prompt warm up, the boys controlled the possession in the first half, taking the lead just before half time through a well worked passage of play making exceptional use of the width of the pitch. However, despite dominating play, Plymouth managed to level the score early in the second half.
Resiliently, the boys remained strong and focused on performing their roles to the best of their ability. This focused attitude ensured that parity did not last long, and the Colyton team quickly responded with a goal to regain the lead. Shortly after, they scored again putting the game to rest and Colyton ended the match as 3-1 winners.
We would like to thank Plymouth for a great game played in a good manner and we now look forward to the next round. Well done to all involved.
