Music department dates for the diary

With the festive season fast approaching, there is plenty of look forward to in our thriving music department. Rehearsals are underway for our upcoming concerts with students working hard on a variety of Christmas classics.  

Our first Christmas concert is due to take place on December 7th at 7pm in Cottrill Hall. It will feature festive favourites performed by the various school ensembles including Jazz Band, School Orchestras, Wind Band and Cello Ensemble. Tickets are available for £5.  

Our Colyton Grammar School Carol Service is then due to take place on Thursday 14 December at 7pn at St Andrew’s Church, Colyton. Due to the seating capacity of the church, tickets are required to be booked in advance. You can book tickets here https://ocs.colytongrammar.com/event/carol-service-1 

This is always a wonderful event each year and it is a lovely way to end the term. The school and wider community come together in this beautiful candle lit church and you really feel like Christmas has arrived. It is also a great way for students and staff, both past and present to meet and catch up.
