Girls football team face Taunton Academy

Our Under-14 girls football team recently faced the team from Taunton Academy in a great game on our grass pitch at Colyton. Our home advantage played a part as we did not need to travel and used the downhill slope in the second half.

Our squad were solid, and Jasmyn kept her clean sheet in goal. Holly M read the game well and made lots of well-timed interceptions to keep the opposition out and stop them from shooting. Eliza T and Sophie C worked well together in attack putting their keeper under pressure. Overall, though, it was a great team performance with everyone playing their part, winning the game with a score of 3-0. The team are now waiting to see who their opposition are going to be in the next round.
