Colyton athlete nominated for BBC Green Sport Award

We are proud to announce that Colyton Grammar School student Innes F has been nominated for a BBC Green Sport Award, a wonderful achievement.  

The BBC Green Sport Awards celebrate the achievements of athletes, former athletes and organisations who are working hard to enact and inspire change.  

Innes is nominated in the Youth Athlete of the Year category. This nomination recognises the environmental statement Innes made when she decided not to attend the Cross Country World Championships in Australia, making clear that her decision was down to her concerns about the impact of flying at a time when people around the world are suffering the effects of climate change.  

The winners are due to be announced on 2nd October.
