Colyton Grammar School continues to sell second-hand uniform as part of drive for sustainability

As part of the drive to become a more sustainable school, the recent Spring Fair saw the PA continue to sell off second-hand uniform.
As with all fashion, there is an environmental impact of uniform production, meaning that by giving parents the opportunity to purchase school uniform second-hand, the school limits the amount of uniform needing to be produced.
The selling of second-hand uniform, a move that has proved popular with parents, is only one part of Colyton Grammar School’s sustainability plan. Other aspects include
re-wilding of the banks surrounding the Feoffees building, the installation of solar panels and LED lighting, the removal of single use plastics, recycling, and tree planting.
In addition, the money raised by the selling of second-hand uniform goes towards activities which enrich the school experience for students.
