Recently, our Year 7 netball team travelled to Kings, Ottery, to compete in the Under-12 East Devon Netball Tournament. Firstly, the girls played against Exmouth, and whilst both teams were a little bit nervous, Colyton came away victorious, narrowly winning 3-2.

Next, they faced Axe Valley and settled into their play much better, with our shooters doing brilliantly leading the team to a 11-1 win. The final team in our pool was Sidmouth. We were able to utilise our substitutes here and the game finished with a score of 10-2 to us.

We met Honiton in the semi-final. It was a close match and our defence worked hard to make interceptions and create turnovers leading to a 9-4 win. In a tense final, we faced Kings and Colyton came back from losing 4-0 to reach full-time with a tie of 4-4. Extra time was played and the girls managed to keep their composure, scoring two more goals to win the match 6-4.

Well done to all involved and all of the Year 7s who have regularly attended netball club, a strong net-balling year group
