Recently, Colyton Grammar School’s under 15s football team played in the East Devon finals against Exmouth. It was a great game, and our boys played extremely well. Colyton started strongly and the early pressure led to a counter-attack goal, finished by Sam. The team then scored a second shortly after their first. A great ball from the right-hand side of the pitch was converted with a fantastic finish, with Sam once again the scorer.

Exmouth finished the first half strongly, hitting the crossbar but to no effect, leaving the half time score at 2-0. It was a similar story during the second half, with both teams having their fair opportunity to score. Colyton scored a third goal through a spectacular strike from our own half by Nathan – it's unclear whether the outcome was intended, but it was nonetheless an exceptional moment in the game!

Colyton absorbed the pressure and scored again late in the second half through another great strike from Nathan, from a direct free kick, ending the game 4–0. This meant our under 15s were crowned East Devon Champions. A great achievement; well done to our U15 Football Team.
