Local primary school students attend VEX robotics outreach event at Colyton Grammar School

Last week, local primary school students from St Marys, Littletown, Honiton Primary and Axminster Academy were invited to Colyton Grammar School to take part in a VEX Robotics event.
First, the students were shown how to program a virtual robot using the VEX VR software, before being given the opportunity to test their new skills on actual robots by using VEXCodeIQ.
It is hoped that outreach programmes such as this will ignite a long-lasting interest in computer science for these young students and we would like to thank Mr Cronk for leading the classes, and Mrs Cobb and Mrs Carter for assisting.
