UKMT Maths Challenge
Tuesday 12 March saw the regional final of the UKMT Junior Team Mathematics Challenge in Exmouth where a team from Colyton Grammar School pitted their wits against 27 others from across the region. Four rounds of challenging mathematics and problem solving ensued with rounds involving students working in pairs and as a whole team. A fantastic final round in which the students scored 54 out of a possible 60 marks helped to the team to finish in first place. The winning team comprising Kevin J and William R from Year 8 and Robin H and Anthony G from Year 9 can now look forward to representing both the school and the region in the national final held in London in June.
